YTTYGRAN ISLAND Stretch your legs and ponder the origins of Whale Bone Alley, an eerie archaeological site lined with whale bones, some five metres high. MEDVEZHIY ISLANDS Polar bears famously frequent this isolated archipelago. The natural rock pillars on Chetyrbok Stolbovoy are a sight to behold.
