As you approach the far-flung Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard, listen for the sound of icebergs calving from vast glaciers, and watch for extraordinary Arctic wildlife including millions of seabirds on the greatest bird cliff in the Barents Sea. YENISEI RIVER As we pass through the Taymyr Peninsula, we get to meet the Nenets, an indigenous people from northern arctic Russia. BEAR ISLAND Another Zodiac adventure: sail through distinctive sea stack rock columns, impressive sea caves and tunnels carved by the waves. DUDINKA Immerse yourself in indigenous peoples’ culture at Taimyr-mou, then tour the stunning nature of Putorana plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
