Look out for black fur pups being nursed in these dense rookeries. ST GEORGE ISLAND In the ‘Galapagos of the North’, you can encounter more than 200 species of birds. A new species of beaked whale was discovered near the island in 2016. PETROPAVLOVSK Near this beautifully rustic city, Avacha Bay is an unforgettable treat: see the iconic Three Brothers sea stacks where Steller sea lions bask. KISKA HARBOR Relics of Japanese occupation remain here, including a Shinto shrine as well as old naval artifacts scattered across the land.
